Al Dar
Al Dar is a temporary emergency shelter that welcome women and girls who are survivors of violence or great risk of violence. Women along with their children and girls are sheltered in a nurturing and supportive environment where they obtain opportunities to develop and gain information, skills, and the ability to protect themselves and their children from conditions that can expose them to abuse and harm.
Al Dar’s multidisciplinary team provides a holistic set of crisis management services, psychosocial support, and mental health services, as well as key information and messages that protect women and provide them with resources, information and plans that can be considered as safe options. The team also provides legal rights counseling and skills building needed to break the cycle of violence reintegrate socially.
