The project “I Am a Maker of Safety” was implemented within the framework of United Nations Security Council Resolution 1325 on Women, Peace, and Security, through a partnership between ABAAD and with funding from the Spanish Agency for International Development Cooperation via FICDE Foundation, and in direct collaboration with 6 women community groups from different regions across Lebanon. The project aims to strengthen women’s participation in violence prevention and peacebuilding within their communities through a participatory methodology that engages women at all stages of planning, implementation, and production.

The project was launched through a series of community meetings to identify women’s priorities and needs, followed by the implementation of specialized trainings on protection, participation, community leadership, and awareness message development. In a more advanced phase, women took part in workshops to design and produce innovative awareness-raising materials, including informational brochures, an illustrated story, interactive cards, posters, and the project’s dedicated song. In addition, the project produced the podcast “I Am a Maker of Safety – Women Changing Reality,” a series of episodes highlighting the voices of women in Lebanon who shared their experiences and stories related to Resolution 1325, peace within the home, the community, and the field, and change rooted in everyday life.

This integrated process contributed to building the capacities of the women’s committees, strengthening their presence as decision makers and advocates for women’s issues, and stimulating community dialogue on the importance of women’s participation in creating safety. This, in turn, directly enhanced their empowerment and reinforced the sustainability of their role in driving change.

أنا صانعة أمان

نفذ مشروع “أنا صانعة أمان” ضمن إطار قرار مجلس الأمن 1325 حول المرأة والسلام والأمن، بالشراكة بين منظمة أبعاد وبتمويل من الوكالة الإسبانية للتعاون الدولي من خلال مؤسسة FICDE، وبالتعاون المباشر مع 6 لجان نسائية مجتمعية من مختلف المناطق اللبنانية. يهدف المشروع إلى تعزيز مشاركة النساء في الوقاية من العنف وبناء السلام داخل مجتمعاتهن، من خلال منهجية تشاركية تُشرك النساء في جميع مراحل التخطيط والتنفيذ والإنتاج.

انطلق المشروع عبر سلسلة من اللقاءات المجتمعية لتحديد أولويات النساء واحتياجاتهن، تلاها تنفيذ تدريبات متخصصة حول الحماية والمشاركة والقيادة المجتمعية وتطوير الرسائل التوعوية. وفي مرحلة متقدمة، شاركت النساء في ورش عمل لصياغة وإنتاج مواد توعوية مبتكرة، شملت: مطويات توعوية، قصة مصوّرة، بطاقات تفاعلية، ملصقات، والأغنية الخاصة بالمشروع، إضافة إلى إنتاج بودكاست “أنا صانعة أمان- نساء يغيرن الواقع” سلسلة من الحلقات، تسلط الضوء على أصوات نساء من لبنان شاركن تجاربهن وقصصهن،عن القرار 1325، عن السلام بالبيت، بالمجتمع، وبالميدان…
وعن التغيير من جوّا الحياة اليومية.

أسهم هذا المسار المتكامل في بناء قدرات اللجان النسائية، وتقوية حضورهن كصانعات قرار ومناصرات لقضايا المرأة، وتحفيز نقاشات مجتمعية حول أهمية مشاركة النساء في صنع الأمان، مما انعكس مباشرة على تمكينهن وتعزيز استدامة دورهن في عملية التغيير.
