Sexual assault crimes are increasing by the day in Lebanon, at a time when sentences for such crimes remain short and unmatched to the size of the crime committed, mainly due to the deeply rooted association in society between women’s bodies and the entire family’s dignity and honor – an association we at ABAAD completely disavow. Our main message is that sexual assault is a crime worthy of a serious sentence to achieve justice to survivors first and foremost, and to protect women and girls from sexual assault crimes.

إستطلاع حول الإعتداء الجّنسي في لبنان

سلّطت هذه الدراسة الإحصائية الوطنيّة التي قامت بها منظمة أبعاد الضوء على جرائم الإعتداء الجنسي في لبنان حيث هدفت الدراسة الى معرفة مدى لجوء النساء اللواتي يتعرضن للعنف الجنسي للتبليغ عن هذا العنف، وما هي أسباب الإمتناع عن التبليغ.
