“Call It Right” is a national campaign led by ABAAD aimed at amending Chapter One of Title Seven of the Lebanese Penal Code concerning sexual crimes, increasing penalties for perpetrators, protecting survivors, and strengthening their access to justice.

The campaign seeks to shift the societal narrative around sexual crimes, reject all forms of victim-blaming, and affirm that responsibility lies solely with the perpetrator.

Why Now?

Survivors of sexual crimes in Lebanon continue to face:

• Insufficient and non-deterrent penalties
• A society that blames, doubts, and shames victims
• Judicial system that is slow and unsafe for survivors

What Are We Demanding?

• Increased penalties for sexual crimes
• Protection for SGBV survivors and guaranteed access to justice
• An end to the culture of victim-blaming

Why “Call It Right”?

Accurately naming the crime is the first step toward:

• Confronting the assault
• Ensuring protection for survivors
• Rejecting narratives that justify perpetrators

«سمّوها صح» هي حملة وطنية تقودها منظمة «أبعاد» بهدف تعديل الفصل الأول من الباب السابع من قانون العقوبات اللبناني المتعلّق بالجرائم الجنسية، وزيادة العقوبات على المعتدين، وحماية الناجيات وتعزيز وصولهنّ للعدالة.

الحملة تقوم على تغيير السردية المجتمعية حول الجرائم الجنسية، ورفض كل أشكال لوم الضحية، والتأكيد أن المسؤول الوحيد هو المُعتدي.

لماذا الآن؟

تواجه الجرائم الجنسية في لبنان واقعًا صعبًا يتمثّل في:

• عقوبات مخفّفة وغير رادعة
• ثقافة لوم الضحية والتشكيك فيها
• مسار قضائي بطيء وغير آمن للناجيات

بماذا نطالب؟

• أولاً: تشديد العقوبات على الجرائم الجنسية
• ثانياً: حماية الناجيات وضمان وصولهنّ للعدالة
• ثالثاً: إنهاء ثقافة لوم الضحية

لماذا «سمّوها صح»؟

لأن تسمية الجريمة باسمها هي الخطوة الأولى لمواجهة الاعتداء، وحماية الناجيات، ورفض السرديات التي تبرّر أو تبرّئ المعتدي.

لأن الكلمات تصنع وعيًا…
والوعي يصنع قانونًا…
والقانون يحمي حياتنا!
